National Taiwan Normal University has long boasted a history of leadership as the premier training base of secondary-education teachers in the country. As NTNU strides into the twenty-first century, we envision broader horizons with persistent commitment to education. Once home to the nation's prospective high school teachers, today's NTNU aims to incubate intellectual giants for tomorrow.

Our vision is twofold. First, we seek to cultivate in our students broad views of life and the world. To meet the needs of a multicultural society and changing global geopolitics, we strive for active cooperation with academic institutions from all over the world and for diversity and depth in the curriculum. Secondly, we are devoted to enhancing the already-superb quality of teaching on campus. With a faculty body dedicated to excellence in both teaching and research, NTNU looks to continue advancing its teaching resources to facilitate education. Moreover, as the merger project between NTNU and National University Preparatory School for Overseas Chinese Students has been officially ratified and is presently underway, we anticipate the expansion of space to bring about expansion of our goals.

Today's NTNU represents a forward-looking academic institution set to offer an exciting learning environment for our students. We believe that knowledge is the foundation of grand visions.
