Mako Wada ( Japan )
Department of Adult and Continuing Education
I am a student of the Department of Adult and Continuing Education at NTNU. My name is Mako Wada and I come from Japan. I have been studying in Taiwan for four years and I gradually got used to the Taiwanese life. Right now, I am in my junior year. Since I am in the news section, I frequently have to read newspapers and watch the news on the television. In the very beginning, I could understand neither the newspapers nor the television news. However, with the practice of editing news and keeping a constant reading, my Chinese has improved a lot and I can understand Taiwan’s media better now.
I have studied at Mandarin Training Center, NTNU, but they mainly focus on daily conversation rather than a more proficient Chinese. Therefore I decided to take undergraduate programs in order to have a better understanding of Chinese language and Taiwanese culture.

Natsuko Seio ( Japan )
Graduate Institute of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language
This has been the most memorable and valuable period in my life. What I have experienced at NTNU has broadened my horizons. I would never have had this type of opportunity in Japan. As I look forward to the challenges that await me, I firmly believe that my study abroad experience has enriched my college life and will continue to play an important role in my future

During these days in Taiwan, I feel like I have opened a priceless window for my life. Not only my studies are improved, but I have made many friends from all over the world and learned their cultures.

Blair Thomas ( USA )
Graduate Institute of Design

I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to come to Taiwan to study for a Master's degree in Design at NTNU. The facilities here are great. I am also grateful for the opportunity to study the Chinese language and learn more about Chinese culture. My time at NTNU is an experience I will never forget.

Kosin Phonmang ( Tailand )
Graduate Institute of International Workforce Education and Development
Having had a chance to be an NTNU student is one of the greatest opportunities in my entire life time. NTNU provides me not only the extremely outstanding curriculums, but also the exceptionally excellent extracurricular activities.
No wonder why my experiences in NTNU are so undeniably cool. All I can say is that "I love Taiwan so much and it's neat to be an NTNU student!"

Piero Costa ( Italy )
Graduate Institute of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language
I believe that everybody has a place where he or she is meant to live. Well, that place for me is definitely Taiwan. Since I came to this island, the sun shone on me. NTNU’s teachers, students, courses and activities are great and fulfil my highest expectations.
NTNU community made me feel at home, thousands of kilometres far away from home.
Studying at NTNU is a wonderful experience that I strongly recommend to anybody who wants to pursue a high class education.
