MOE (Ministry of Education) Taiwan Scholarship
● Undergraduate program: NT$15,000 per month; maximum 4 years, tuition waived 
● Master program: NT$20,000 per month; maximum 2 years, tuition waived
● Ph.D. program: NT$20,000 per month ; maximum 4 years, tuition waived
● Application period: From February 1st until the end of March

MOFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) Taiwan Scholarship
● Undergraduate program: NT$25,000 per month; maximum 4 years
● Master program: NT$30,000 per month; maximum 2 years 
● Ph.D. program: NT$30,000 per month ; maximum 3 years 
● Application period: From February 1st until the end of March
● Please contact the ROC embassy, consulate, or representative office nearest you in your home country

The First-Year International Student Scholarship and the Tuition Waiver Programs were designed specifically to promote internationalization at NTNU as well as to increase recruitment of international students with excellent academic records. These programs are aimed at first-year international students (both undergraduate and graduate) who are not currently receiving any other scholarships.

●Amounts awarded and method of payment:

(1) First-Year International Student Scholarship:
1. The yearly awarded amount is NT$ 150,000 for graduate students, and NT$ 100,000 for undergraduate students.
2. Scholarships are paid out in 10 monthly installments: NT$ 15,000 per month for graduate students and NT$ 10,000 per month for undergraduate students. Scholarships may be suspended or revoked for any of the following reasons: (a) failure to register for classes; (b) dropping out or being expelled from school; (c) engaging in inappropriate personal behavior.

(2) Tuition Waivers:
1. For undergraduates, Credit Hour Tuition is waived, but Basic Tuition must be paid.
2. For graduate students, Basic Tuition is waived, but Credit Hour Tuition must be paid.
3. Tuition Waivers may be suspended or revoked for any of the following reasons: (a) failure to register for classes; (b) dropping out or being expelled from school; (c) engaging in inappropriate personal behavior.

●Application Times:
When applying to NTNU, please fill out the scholarship application form and send it together with your NTNU application materials.

●Evaluation of Applications:
Each department determines which of their students will receive a scholarship or tuition waiver. It is the department's responsibility to submit a list of award recipients and their application forms as well as any other relevant documents to the Office of International Affairs.

● For outstanding international students in NTNU
● NT$10,000 per month
● The scholarship is open for application twice a year. The student can be granted the scholarship for half a year, the period will be from January to June and from July to December.
● Application package includes a copy of the previous semester’s transcript.
