新加坡管理大學（ Singapore Management University ）

　　新加坡管理大學 (SMU) 於 2000 年 1 月成立，是新加坡首例由政府資助創辦之私立大學，校舍位於 Bukit Timah Campus ， 2005 年遷至市區 Bras Basah 。 SMU 與美國賓夕凡尼亞洲大學華頓學院訂定了 5 年合作計畫，課程以華頓學院為藍本，同時納入亞洲元素，提供世界級的教學與研究水準。另外，新加坡管理大學亦著重與區內大學建立良好關係，特別是中國的大學。目前該大學擁有 6 個學院：商科學院、會計學院、資訊學院（與以 IT 著名的美國卡內基美隆大學合作密切）、經濟學院、社會科學學院及法學院，各學院均提供 4 年制學士學位，有些學院並提供研究生課程。
　　 新加坡管理大學 (SMU) 與本校簽有姐妹校及交換學生協定，最多每年可提供 4 個交換生名額。 SMU 校區位於市區，生活機能強，師資挑選方面不僅招攬教學及研究優異之學者，也廣邀企業界的成功企業家授課，使 SMU 的課程更能與業界接軌，有助學生未來生涯發展。

About SMU
　　 Officially incorporated on 12 January 2000 , Singapore Management University (SMU) is Singapore 's third university. Its educational and administrative practices are modeled after American institutions, in particular the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania , which has played a central role in SMU's development.
　　 To deliver its world-class curriculum, an outstanding faculty has been handpicked to advance knowledge in teaching and research. Besides recruiting some of the best academics in their field, SMU also taps successful businessmen for their specific expertise and management skills to combine academic vigour with hands-on business savvy.
　　 Today, SMU is a home to over 5,400 students and comprises six schools: Lee Kong Chian School of Business, School of Accountancy , School of Information Systems – with which IT-renowned Carnegie Mellon University is playing a strategic partnership role. For expansion and strategic reasons, the School of Economics and Social Sciences was restructured in March 2007 into two schools namely, the School of Economics and the School of Social Sciences . A new School of Law opened in August 2007.
　　 SMU offers bachelor's degree programmes in Business Management, Accountancy, Economics, Information Systems Management, Laws and Social Science. The university offers master's degree programmes in Wealth Management, Applied Finance, Professional Accounting, IT in Business (Financial Services), Applied Economics and in Economics, Finance and Operations Management (by research). A PhD programme in Information Systems is the first doctoral degree to be offered. SMU also has a dedicated Office of Research, a number of centres of excellence, and provides public and customised Executive Education programmes.
　　 Formerly occupying Singapore 's historical Bukit Timah campus, the university has moved into its permanent campus right in the heart of Singapore . The new state-of-the-art 4.5 hectare campus, located in the civic district of the city, will support the university's eventual 6,000 undergraduates, along with students in its future graduate programmes.
