      Wu Jing-yi, and five department directors.

  • Introduction

           Modern times, science not only bring a lot of facility to human life, but also enable the possibility for us to open up the world outside and to explore the mankind inside. However, the misunderstanding of science by students resulted from the fast progression of science makes students feel estranged and fearful, also makes people regard science as another religion and pose no criticism. Through science education, we hope to enable students to access science on one hand in order to train succeeding researchers, and to enforce scientific literacy of citizens on the other hand in order to prepare people with the abilities of problem solving, differentiation and evaluation.
           Curriculums that we offered could prepare the future science teachers with sufficient knowledge and skills about science instruction. Through history of curriculum, our students could predict the future by reviewing the past and prevent from making the same mistakes predecessors ever made; through cognitive psychology, our students get a whole view about the cognition process of learning for developing instruction strategies; through curriculum design, our students could run effective instruction activities in classroom; through philosophy of science and sociology of knowledge, our students could understand nature of science knowledge and the process science take to make progress; through educational technology, our students put theories and principles into practice by various kind of fantastic multimedia; furthermore, through methodology and data analysis, our students can apply strategies above on real instruction to educational research.
           Our institute sincerely welcomes students who have lofty ideals for science education to apply for our master and doctor entrance exam, in order to foster the scientific teacher and research talents of science education in the future; Our institute also offer opportunities for scientific teacher to pursue further education

  • Qualifications are as follows:

    • Master: Persons who Graduated from the university or institute that Ministry of Education approved, having bachelor's degrees or the the same education level.

    • Doctor: Persons who Graduated from the university, majoring in Science, for example: mathematics, natural science or relevant discipline, having master's degree.
