How to set up a mirror for the Problem Set Archive

  1. By setting up a mirror, you implicitly agree with our Usage Policy. If you have any questions concerning the policy, please do ask us!
  2. First, get and install the webcopy-0.98b7.tar software. Read the Documentation to learn the necessary system requirements.
Note: Webcopy is not maintained by us, but has been written by Victor Parada (vparada@inf.utfsm.cl). Please address all questions concerning webcopy to him, not to us. The latest version can be obtained at ftp://ftp.inf.utfsm.cl/pub/utfsm/perl/webcopy.tgz.
  3. Determine a directory DIR into which you want the Archive saved.
  4. Invoke webcopy -r -t1 -wDIR http://www.acm.inf.ethz.ch/ProblemSetArchive.html and wait for all the files! (you must not use the -f option, otherwise you will end up with our whole web-site, not only the Problem Set Archive). The first complete download may take some time (at least 10 minutes). For updates, webcopy is clever enough to transfer only the modified/newly added files.
  5. Please mail me the URL of your mirror site so that I can include it on the index page. I will also include you on my mailing list, so that I can inform you of archive changes, so that you can invoke webcopy again. This occurs at most once per month.
